Poor Glueing
Posted by Rich on Sep 10, 2007
I'm building a 16.5 Mill Creek. I've never worked with epoxy before. I glued the bottom pieces together, but put glue on just one side of the scarf. After it dried and I moved it, I heard some cracks and it looks like the glue did not adhere very well. What do I do now? Can I force some epoxy into the cracks and re-weight them? What's your advice? The bilge and sheer pieces went together very well.
I received the video after I had glued the bilge, sheer and bottom. I wish I had waited for the video because it clearly stated in the video to apply glue to both sides of the scarf. I don't recall seeing that statement in the booklet, though.
Anyway, how do I proceed?
