Filleting and Glassing..
Posted by Paul on Sep 12, 2007
..at the same time? Typical CLC directions call for first filleting the seams, coating the interior,'glassing the exterior and then 'glassing the interior. I'd like to make my current kayak project as light as possible and the major variable under builder control is the amount of epoxy on the boat. I was thinking that when I do the fillets I would layup the interior glass shortly afterwards. I'm thinking this will cut out one coating of epoxy and also save some sanding time because the interior will not need scuffing for a mechanical bond. Thumbs up? Thumbs down?
