Chris,

Many sympathies, hope it can be hidden. This is why I like sharp, muscle-powered tools. They let one cut slowly, with little enough force so that when something unexpected (bulkhead, finger, screw, etc.) is hit, they can be instantly stopped with little damage (especially important when a finger).

On the other hand, it sounds as if you're moving right along. Hope the rest goes more smoothly.
