Epoxied yak cleaner

Hi everyone, I am putting finishing touches on an MC13. I have waited till now to finish up the last coat of epoxy to the craft. When installing rub rails without nails I used strapping tape and a spot of hot glue to prevent it from peeling up during cure (worked like a charm BTW). Now before I epoxy I want to clean the deck to make sure all residue from hot glue and tape is gone.

What would be safe to use on this?

If nothing else I was thinking coarse Scotch brite pad and water to clean,and wipe down afterward? Then a final scuff sand and wipe down before applying last coat of epoxy.

Any thoughts would be most appreciated.
