Mask carefully, then apply paint! We used a fancy two-part polyurethane beneath the waterline, as this is a very rugged finish. You can use a one-part paint as long as the dinghy won't live in the water for more than a few days at a time. If it will ALWAYS live in the water, you should apply an herbicidal "bottom paint" directly to the sanded and washed epoxy.
