question for Lazslo re: WD12 hatch

I'm planning the same internal bungee hold down and finger divot.  Question, I am about to glass the deck, should I divot before or after?

Progress... just about ready to divot.  What tool did you use for this?  I have a dremel and was thinking that might be the best approach, other option I am considering is a simple drill.  I have my test piece on the bench curing.  Once the epoxy is done, will try a couple experiments.

I also used a Dremel, then finished it off with sandpaper wrapper around my index finger.
