Small boat dolly RD4 and Jimmy Skiff?
Like the title says. I will have a need to move my Jimmy Skiff short distances. Will the RD4 small boat dolly fit the hull? I guess the question is, since the Jimmy Skiff bottom is flat, and basically at full beam, will the wheels end up hitting the hull? I imagine that I could rig up something to make the skeg clear.
Is anybody using something else that he can recommend? I know CLC sells a handcart for small boats, but this costs almost as much as a full road-worthy trailer, and I have neither the space nor the budget to keep both.

I use the RD4 for my Wherry. I find it is indispensable for moving this boat around single-handedly. I can't speak from experience regarding the Jimmy Skiff but the bunks on the RD4 sit higher than the wheels so I don't think your hull will hit the wheels. Depending on where you position the dolly longitudinally along the hull, the skeg should clear to.
