I am looking for a way to trailer my Jimmy Skiff to new sailing grounds. Trailer: built and registered. Method of carrying the rigged mast: I think I've got an idea that will work. Now, what about protecting the sailing rig from the rigors of travel? If I'm going to a local lake, I figure I can just bind the spars and sail together tightly and off I go, but for longer distances, I would prefer more protection, like a cover. No matter how tightly I bind it, I think that the sail will get wind in it, otherwise, and suffer damage.
I notice several bags for kayaks here at CLC. Maybe a bit too big, but the length is about right. Thoughts? Would CLC consider stocking covers for spars?
