For the rear the middle one is centered. The front and back frames on both hatches are almost as close to the end as possible without conflicting with the rim. Mine was built from plans with flush hatches, and I ended up using three frames on the front hatch as well. I might have cut the hatches out to soon and not glued the frames on soon enough. The hatches sprang back and the the epoxy hardened. Hope this helps.
