Hi all.  Need lead for the PocketShip ballast?  I was able to get 160 lbs of tire weights from my local chain tire shop at $.20/lb -- probably cheaper here in NW Montana than in the big city.  I talked to the manager and asked him to hold the lead for me.  This is necessary because the commercial lead/battery recycler guys come around about every two weeks to collect from all the tire places.  Need a pot to melt it in and don't have an old iron tea kettle?  Go to your local outdoor store and buy an iron dutch oven (about $28).  Works great for melting lead or gold.  I'm just doing lead at this time.  Good luck.  mtsailor
