Is denatured alcohol the same as iisopropyl alcohol or where can you buy it?

So... can Bio-Solv be used anywhere that you would use acetone (ugh!) or alcohol?

I would avoid "rubbing alcohol" as it is isopropyl alcohol with water added.

I find that denatured alcohol evaporates faster than isopropyl, at least the concentration of isopropyl that is available in stores around here.
Denatured is available in the paint/varnish sections of hardware stores in the USA for about $15/gallon. I've heard that it's next to impossible to find in Canada at reasonable prices.
