Getting down to the weave when sanding.
Ok so I'm sanding my K14 hull after 3 coats of epoxy. I'm following the directions from this site, no low spots. In certain spots I can 'see' the weave. When rubbing my hand over it it's perfectly smooth, no bumps at all. Is the fact that I can see the weave bad? Again it's not terribly visible. If I varnished over these spots will the weave I see disappear?
I am really really hoping that I don't have to lay on more epoxy!

Tx Wes! But... I went down to wood in one spot, it's less than 1 square CM.
What should I do to fix?

Well, if you went to the wood in a small spot that means you've probably gone thru the cloth around it a bit as well. Take a small piece of fiberglass cloth, say 2 cm, and epoxy that over the spot. Do 2-3 fill coats and then feather in the edges. It will absolutely disappear under varnish.

Seeing the weave is normal; feeling it is not. You can test how it will look varnished by wetting the surface with water. Sounds like you are okay. -Wes
