I am building a Expedition Camper Dory
Nor’easter turned Nor’wester for the extreme Northwest conditions.
Designed for rowing and sailing expeditions, in the Inside Passage of Alaska, Puget Sound and The Columbia River Gorge.

RE: Expedition Camper Dory
Is this a modified version of CLC's Northeaster Dory, or some other design?

Looks like you've done lots of nice work. Where will the mast be stepped? Where will the CB be placed? How are you going to row this high sided boat? This is an interesting project, BJ. Nice job.
RE: Expedition Camper Dory
Yes, it is based on the CLC's Northeaster Dory. Everything above the rub rail is custom and specifically designed for rough waters by a shipwright who is doing the modifications for me.
RE: Expedition Camper Dory
Will you have some sort of scupper or drainage system? Interesting design and nice workmanship!
Post updates on your build and/or perhaps you have a building blog?!
Cheers,
Chris

Nice! Similar concept to CLC's coastal cruiser, that's coming together in their shop. Does your design have a cabin or are those just fore and aft cargo holds. Kindof hard to tell from the angle. Thanks for the pics and by all means keep us updated. Dave
