Uses for white cedar lap siding...?
Hello all,
Will be taking removing some white cedar lap siding in a month or two and was wondering if there is a boat use for this? It's painted so I dont know how knotty it is. There will be a ton of it i believe though. My desire is to one day build a strip canoe. Doable with lap siding? Maybe a lap strake dingy type? Ideas...?
Thanks,
Blue

I'd sure give it a try. You're a rip saw and a surface planer away from a lot of strips if the wood is solid. I like the idea oof reusing wood and if the knots are solid and small they may look good on a canoe.Be sure to get out ALL the nails... SEEYA JAck
