Anyone familiar with rusting deck nails? I nailed my deck with copper coated nails, while sanding i must have passed through the glass coat. Although the baot has 5 layers of varnish some of my nails are starting to rust.

Taking out the nails is not an option, I was thinging of sanding the rusted heads, treat them with a stop rust , tip them with epoxy and aftherwards varnish the whole boat. 

Is there any other treatment i should considder?
