Please see my puzzle joint post. Has anyone used a heat gun on a "not so perfect" puzzle joint, warming it up and rubber malleting it closer together? Would that work? Would the stength of the joint be weakened? Comments, thanks. Ken
When the epoxy is still pretty young you can get puzzle joints to let go with a heat gun. You have to take the joints all of the way apart, though, then re-glue them. Without a fresh application of epoxy you're not going to have any strength in that joint.
