Has anyone done their own lapstitch with a router. I'm looking at building a NE Dory. I have built a few Stitch and Tape kayaks from CLC but have never done a Lap Stitch type boat. I would appreciate any info.

Actually, the manual calls for a router with a rabbet bit. A rabbet plane works just fine if you're not comfortable with the router.

I believe that for all the folks who build from plans CLC recommends that they make their own lapstitch joints from scratch usng a rabbet plane.
