I have sprayed varnish with my hvlp with decent results but the old sxhool merhod of brushing can't be beat for a kayak or similar small boats.

I have applied both ways on various stuff. I'm thinking of spraying my ducks and paddles with Awl Grip clear coat.

I am spraying the Interlux Brightsides paint on my Yawl with no problems. I thin it a bit with the Interlux thinner and it works just fine. Nice smooth coat with great sheen and shine, also seems to go a lot farther too.
