I just broke my rudder on my skerry and don't have the tools to build another. Would it be possible to order a built rudder from somewhere or someone on this forum? If so, how would one go about it?
any chance that the rudder is repairable? do you have the bits/a picture of what 'broke'?
one of the advantages of these boats is that they are actually pretty straight-forward to repair in almost all cases....which may be easier than building a whole new one.
that said, if it can't be repaired, you need to get a quote from CLC to send along just the rudder parts (the rudder has several parts....was it a total loss?). they do this on a routine basis.
you might want to give a general sense of your location if you are looking for somebody to help out.
