Beckson Hatch Install on Kaholo
Finally getting close to finishing up my paddleboard. Quick question -- what is the preferred method for securing a beckson hatch to the deck (going to use the hatch and bag for a bit of storage)? Stainless bolts and nuts? Thinking screws aren't going to cut it on the thin plywood.

I just used silicone without any fasteners. It has been good for 3 seasons now. I like the stainless though.

If you drill into the deck be sure to seal any exposed fiberglass or wood with epoxy. Use the drill, fill, and drill technique.

Yup, stainless bolts and nuts are the way to go.
