glass shows over overlay - any cure?
After applying glass and epoxy (three coats) over dark colored overlay, glass still shows some sparkle. Is there any way to fix this? Can I sand down to the fiberglass and apply epoxy to fill again? or do I have to learn to ignore the sparkles?

It's a light-pipe effect caused by open thread ends, so you'd have to remove the glass and re-apply it.
If you really hate it, there's paint.
