First Post,,, Searched but couldn't find an answer,,, Has anyone installed a Drain Plug in the NE Dory. If so would you install in the transom or forward? I'm going to keep it on a shore station and not sure if sitting water will drain aft? I can adjust the station, to an extent. Here is what I'm thinking,,, Thanks in advance,

Amidships is the lowest point in the dory. What angle will the boat be stored at? I think that's the critical piece. Might be able to get enough angle to drain everything either forward or back, or you'll have to have a water proof cover or put up with standing water
I once had a boat with autobailers and no drain plug: they were located amidships, and when the boat was level on a trailer, the water drained out through them. The boat had to be completely level in every sense, however.
