Paint remover compatible with epoxy?
I am getting ready to re-do a 10 year old stitch and glue that someone gave me. The boat has several coats of old paint on the hull and several coats of varnish on it that need to come off. I want to take it down to bare wood or at least bare epoxy because its original builder did not glass the entire hull (just the seams) and did not glass the deck.
It would take a LOT of sanding to get this stuff off so I was wondering if it safe to use paint stripper or will that attack the epoxy?

Epoxy is immune to paint stripper in my experience. I've never had any trouble. But do a test patch out of an abundance of caution.
That said, you're still going to have to do a good bit of sanding. Marine finishes are so thin that sanding the old finish off may not be any more trouble than stripping.
