I'm having trouble getting the bronze boat nails to set flush with the deck surface. Do they make nail sets with a large enough diameter to countersink boat nails? Any suggestions appreciated!
Thank you,
Mark

RE: Flush deck nails
Just don't set them too deep. You want them just flush or a touch proud of the deck surface and then you can sand them flush. If you set them below the surface (even slightly) you will end up with unsightly cloudy epoxy air pockets over top of the nail head....been there, done that.

Yes, they make such a nail set. It is called a bolt. Find one about the right size, smooth the end with a file and apply pressure with a hammer. I have found round headed bolts work best.
Good luck!
