Solo paddling a Mill Creek 16.5
For anyone who solo paddles a Mill Creek 16.5, how did you setup the seats? The boat doesn't seem to paddle well if one person sits either in front or in back, so I assume a seat needs to go in the middle. I have rails in the front and back as per the plans but didn't put anything in the middle. Any suggestions?

I have not paddled a Mill Creek 16.5 nor did you describe the trouble....
But the canoe people paddling solo in our club often put a water jug foward to ballance the boat when paddling solo from an aft position. Note most just use a 5 gal jug which doesn't replace a person, but provides enough trim to keep the bow down.
