New to the forum, just saying hi!
Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum. I've never build a kayak before, but I've been looking for a few years now. I just haven't made the plunge to do it yet. I retire from the military in two years, and I think I might go for it then. If I can wait that long. The only thing holding me back now is my table saw. It isn't the most accurate thing in the world. I really want to cut my own strips. I keep looking locally for a used upgrade, but haven't found anything yet.
I plan on doing my first build a cheap as possible, so I can learn without worrying about overspending. There will always be room to build more! Until I run out of room!

Trey,
Don't wait, just pick a design and start building something. Life's too short!
If it is your first build, I'd recommend a stitch and glue. Faster to build, cheaper to build, easier to build. Do a strip-built second.
