Dory inwales and mast thwart knees
Contemplating my first build and purchase of NE Dory. Do the mast thwart knees for the lug rig need to be modified for inwales? When I order the boat and inwales, is it helpful to know what sail rig will be used so that the mast thwart knees can be modified? Leaning towards lug sail

Yes and yes, my knees are 1 1/8" angle iron through bolted to the hull underthr inwales and drilled for a 5/8" bolt the inwale and the thwart that extends to the edge of the out wales. This is a mod of the plans but works well. SEEYA Jack
