Okoumefest - room for beaching our own home-built boats?
I'm planning on attending Okoumefest for the first time this year. I'm not sure what to expect regarding bringing my own boat. I have a Pocketship (if you see me, make sure to say hi ). Do people who bring their own home-built boats just pull them up on the beach while they aren't sailing or rowing them?

Be fun to have another PocketShip there! It's a shelving beach, and while PocketShip is eminently beachable, high tide is around noon and then will be falling all afternoon. This could make it a hassle to push a boat of PocketShip's tonnage into navigable water.
We sail PocketShip #1 off a mooring about a hundred yards from the beach, where it's a couple feet deep.
I would suggest anchoring your boat within wading distance of the beach.
