4 mm Okoume o.k. for Kaholo 12'6"?
Hello,
I am new to this forum, so please forgive me if this question has been covered already.
I just purchased the plans and bulkhead set for a Kaholo 12'6". Now I have had a thorough look at the required materials. It turns out that while most of the things I will need can be ordered or sourced locally, Okoume plywood of 3 mm thickness is really, really hard to find hereabouts. 4 mm and upwards is more or less readily available, but the closest supplier that *might* have 3 mm is about 700 miles away.
Now the building manual urges me "not to substitute ... differing thicknesses". Hence my question: Can I use the 4 mm instead of 3? Has this been done before?
Thanks for your support,
Stefan

4mm will work just fine, the board might weigh a pound or two more, no big deal.
