Help! Cutting the Passage Maker in 1/2
Ok
Any one use a saw less in length or different type than CLC recommends in the instruction book. They indicate 30 inch hand saw.
Hate to make a mistake now.

I would stick with John's recommendation on something this important.
The length allows it to follow the path of least resistance and track through the cardboard spacer without wandering into the bulkheads.
The no offset reduces the size of the kerf so that the cut stays narrower than the cardboard spacer.
The only other saw I would ever consider would be a Japanese dozuki, which cuts on the pull stroke so you can keep it tracking in a very straight line and it has a very narrow kerf.
