outboards for the Classic Jimmy Skiff
I have a 2hp Honda short shaft outboard and wondering if I can attach a bracket to the transom to use it as an outboard, steering with the tiller

Thanks for the pic. I assume that the doubler is epoxied on and that the 4 fasteners are wood screws. I am still in the epoxy stage and though the kit doesn't have a doubler I can make one. I will likely need to convert the 4 stroke 2hp honda to a long shaft.

Does it already have the doubler shown in the picture below? If so, you shoulde be good to go.
Is that a 2-stroke or 4-stroke Honda? If it's a 4-stroke, you may also need a tiller extension so that you can sit far enough forward to balance it. You don't want to drag your transom or the boat will slow way down.
Have fun,
