G'day fellow shipmates.
Over here in West Oz, I bought the plans for the Skerry about 12 months ago, then bought a house in need of renovating. Now the major Reno's are done, and after years of wanting and one false start with a Sabre, it's Skerry time.
A bit about me...
50 this October, dinghy and keel boat experience but off the water for a few decades now.
Got myself some 6mm and 10mm Okume ply, and today a 4 meter length of 50 X 200 Oregon. Enough to make a start.
I'm sure there have been plenty of Skerry build threads, I'm not here to teach anyone, quite the opposite l have learnt quite a lot reading these pages.
Would you believe l can get two sailrite lug rig kits for the same price as a made sail in Aust.
So here's my wood and here is me, once ok figure out how to post pics.
I'll post updates as l go.
Cheers, Rod.
