Hi folks! Two questions.
First, I assume I should varnish the inside of the cockpit, at least as far as I can reach and/or the sun won't hit?
Second... I see in the Interlux data sheet that the shelf life of the varnish is two years. I bought mine 6 years ago. Should I buy it new before I start? It's never been opened.
Thanks!

on your first question, yes, varnish what you can reach or where the sun may hit it.

Thanks for the reply! As for question two, I got hold of Interlux. They told me not to use it on anything important, so I ordered new varnish. Man that stuff is expensive!

Hi Bruce,
if its never been opened, i think you should be fine if, after opening it, it still appears in its appropriate/liquid state.
so if its liquid when you open it, stir/prep per the instructions and you can do a little test on a scrap piece of wood. if it drys up properly per the instrucitons, you should be good to go.
if not, dispose of it per your local hazardous waste instructions.
