First Time Builder Wherry stem question
Today we got the stitching done and its looking like it might be a boat afterall!
We had some trouble with the stem, currently its clamped together but not stitched. We do stitch it, yes?
Also, the instructions advise to keep it clamped until the interior is epoxied and to use as a guide to straighten the stem and stern. It appears that the stem is too narrow to me. Perhaps its clamped too tightly?
Some advice and a picture of what things should look like at this juncture would be much appreciated!

Your welcome JayC, glad my posts were of some help to you. The stem clamping/stitching is one of the trickiest operations in the build. It's mostly downhill from there. Enjoy your boat.

Glad to hear it gets less tricky! Things have smoothed out a bit.
My son and I are building the boat, check our progress at youtube.com/dadwithskillz I have been playing around with time lapse. The Day 5 one is pretty cool, I think...
Back to learning some boat building skills! :-)

Nice, looks like things are going well. I reposted my videos on youtube here, http://www.youtube.com/user/mccartyj1 easier for others to find.
