King Starboard is an marine-grade high-density polyethylene composite board that will not rot, rust, delaminate or easily break down when exposed to UV, humidity and/or submerged in water. The King Starboard comes in White only, and the Black is the lighter weight version known as King Starlite, or Starlight. We carry 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" & 3/4" thicknesses in both colors. These are ideal for a variety of marine applications such as replacing wood hatch components and furniture. The polymer sheet never needs painting or refinishing, replaces wood components, and is easy to fabricate with common woodworking tools and techniques. It is environmentally stabilized for harsh sun and tough marine conditions. It will not rot, splinter, swell, or separate when exposed to water. Precise tolerances ensure consistent color, thickness and density. With a durable matte-textured surface on both sides, it's easy to clean and never needs refinishing. You can easily cut clean edges with sharp blades, and it can even be routered/beveled. All these sheets are "unmasked" (without thin film on one surface). When purchasing sizes other than a full sheet, these boards are sold as "nominal dimensions." As follows: Half sheets = 60" x 47-7/8" (Black), or 54" x 47-7/8" (White) Black Quarter Sheets = 60" x 23-7/8" (actually) White Quarter Sheets = 54" x 23-7/8" (actually) 12" x 24" sheets = 11-7/8" x 23-7/8" (actually) Shipping costs for the smaller sheets are determined automatically through our website using our shipping calculators.
