These two stainless steel mounts are for attaching pin style kayak rudders while leaving as little alteration to your wooden kayak as possible.  Wood screws or bolds hold the brackets in place.

The standard v-mount is for kayaks with a vertical stern.  This includes all Chesapeakes (except for the Sport Tandem), and the West River.  Wood Ducks would use the transom mount style.  Can be used with our Feathercraft kayak rudders or Smart Track long-pin rudder systems.  While the transom mount is for kayaks with a flat stern/transom. 

You can bend the stainless steel tangs on the standard v-mount to accommodate different stern shapes to a degree.  Use the drawings below to check for a good fit on your kayak:
