Wooden Compass Mount
Here's an elegant wooden compass mount you can make.
- Begin with about a 6" x 6" block of wood; trace deck camber onto the side of the block.
- Using a sander or bandsaw, carve the camber into the block
- With a Bonsai Saw, saber saw, coping saw or bandsaw, cut a 5" diameter circle (or whatever dimension your compass is).
- Round over the top edges of the mount. The finished mount is glued to the deck beneath the compass.
