Masking Joints
We've all glued scarfs and other joints and had a big glob of epoxy squeeze out when we clamped the joint. later we've sanded and scraped off the excess glue.
An easy way to save all that sanding and scraping is to mask the wood around the joint. lay inexpensive plastic packing tape along the joint and all the glue that oozes out of the joint will flow onto the tape. Later, pull off the tape along with the excess glue.
