Hi George, Nice! I hopefully want to add some onlay symbols on mine, not too much for the weight etc.

Please if you can see photo below (fuzzy only taken on mobile), I placed the clamps in to show, you can see more clearly on the left side, that the bulkhead square notches are about half an inch below the top of the sheers. So therefore I guess its ok to sand the notches to fit the sheers so that the top of bulkeads are same level as sheers. Thanks.
