The Chesapeake-series sea kayak designs are foundational not just for CLC but for the entire world of "backyard boatbuilding." These award-winners are now available as PDF downloads! This is a quick and accessible way to get started building one of these proven kayaks.
This collection of plans are on 24" x 36" (610x914mm) and include the complete illustrated assembly manuals. Parts that fit on those pages are generally shown at full sized, but you'll lay out the hull panels from "offsets."
IMPORTANT: You'll need to be able to print the plans at the full 24" x 36" size, probably on a commercial plotter.
