I use plastic and hard rubber tools which are normally slightly flexible. Instead of cleaning off the epoxy, I let it cure hard. Then, by flexing the tools, the epoxy cracks and peels off. This only works for smooth plastics.

For skin I use vinegar. As Doug mentions it works well - as long as the epoxy hasn't cured.
