Re: Severn questions

I built my Yare having never sat in a kayak previously. It was terrorizing to see a small boat wake approaching in the protected bay in that tippy thing. I got real good at doing the cowboy re-entry real quick. It was a real good teacher of bracing out of necessity. It has notably less stability than my Point Bennett and makes my Ches 17 feel like a barge. You have to pretty pig-headed to learn to paddle in one. I still paddle mine once in a while during club bay paddles.
