60. Saturating Fiberglass with Epoxy
As per the usual routine with fiberglass, this first coat should turn the fabric perfectly clear, with no bubbles or white patches, but the fabric weave should remain prominent. In other words, don't let the epoxy pool in the bottom of the boat. The fiberglass will float off the hull, and you'll add weight. You can mop excess epoxy out with paper towels or toilet paper, but better to make lots of small batches, as we did.
