Swimming from a Northeaster Dory
I've been pleasantly surprised to discover that I can jump over the side of my dory, go for a nice swim, and climb back aboard without even shipping any water. I get back in near the rear thwart and the rail comes very close to water level but does not dip under. This makes a very useful boat even more useful.

Birch2, that's VERY good to hear. Hopping off my dory is something I look forward to very much. Thanks for the tip
