Eastport Nesting Pram : Take-apart mast and booms
I'm building the nesting pram as a dinghy for my 31-ft sailboat and I plan to keep the pram on my foredeck while underway. I'm thinking about where onboard to store the mast and booms. If I could make the mast and boom shorter, then I could store them in the vberth
I was wondering if anyone has come up with a way to cut the mast & booms in half, then bolt them back together for use. I was thinking bolts thru a long lap joint might work, or bolts thru 2 aluminum plates (or both). Any suggestions?
