Removing frame fixed with epoxy
Hello everyone,
I managed to fix with epoxy frame in the wrong spot. How can I remove it now? Do I need to use heat gun or is there any other way?
Every help welcome.

RE: Removing frame fixed with epoxy
Hi Voldemor,
ditto what lazslo suggested but with a bit more commentary.
heatgun is great at making epoxy soft but can also make the wood hot and warp it if you end up bending the wood as part of the process of undoing it. for this concern, thin pieces are much easier to warp then thicker pieces.
so if you are trying to preserve the piece and using heat to soften the epoxy to redo it, use a sharp tool/knife to work the piece out vs twisting/pulling the piece.
also learning to post pictures here is a great tool to get the best advice. i think i know what you are asking about, but a picture would probably make it totally clear.

Heat gun will let you re-use the wood pieces, sawing and sanding is faster. Pick whichever suits your situation best.
