Winter Open House at CLC Shop

Mark your calendar for our annual Winter Open House in Annapolis on Saturday, December 6th, from 9am to 2pm. We're looking forward to hanging out with fellow boat nuts in our spacious shops and showroom.  

We'll have coffee and donuts in the morning and door prize drawings for those who RSVP!  This event is free and family-friendly.

As always, there are free boatbuilding seminars all day.  Here's this year's preliminary lineup:

10am: Intro to Epoxy with Jay Hockenberry
CLC veteran boatbuilder and instructor Jay Hockenberry offers an overview of working with epoxy, some pro tips and techniques to make your build go better.

11:30am: "The Boatbuilders' Larder" with John Harris
What does it take to walk into a small shop and do great boatbuilding work? Just as a competent chef needs a sensible larder to prepare meals, John Harris draws on his 35 years of boatbuilding and lays out the tools and supplies you should have within reach at all times. A lot of it may surprise you!

1:00pm: Finishing Techniques with Andrew Schroeher
Do you want to finish your stitch-and-glue boat or strip-built kayak like the pros? Master builder Andrew Schroeher shares some of the steps to take before and during the finishing process that make a difference.
