Begin your search for wooden boat plans and kits here!  Tens of thousands of builders have assembled Chesapeake Light Craft boat designs from pre-cut kits, or from scratch using our plans. 

Most kits include CNC-cut marine plywood components, milled timber, hardware, epoxy, and fiberglass, along with detailed assembly manuals. 

Our most popular plans these days comprise full-sized patterns for every part of the boat, and come with extensive assembly manuals. A few of the older marques, such as the Chesapeake and Mill Creek kayaks, are on 24" x 36" paper; parts that fit within those dimensions are shown full size. Other components are scaled and dimensioned. (These are among our ever-growing downloadable plans collection.) A few of our more advanced projects, such as Autumn Leaves, are downloadable on 11x17" paper.
