Commentary:

I'm often asked about "cruising rowing boats" with accommodations. Most people are thinking of this, but such things are dreadful unless you're rowing downwind in the trades. To actually be pleasant for COASTAL cruising, I keep coming back to this proposal. It's very light and as simple to build as possible, with reasonably pleasant accommodations for one. It's not meant to keep to sea in a gale, but it would do very well for inshore voyages.
