Expedition Wherry - The project that will never end! (hatch latches)
Here's the deal. I have pretty much finished up my Expedition Wherry, with just the deck hatches to cut out and then clear coat the deck. I have been dragging my feet for two weeks on cutting the deck hatches because I don't like the hatch toggles as a mechanism for dogging it. It is not that I believe the designed system is insufficient, it is 100% an aesthetic objection.
I have a few ideas for a different mechanism but was wondering if anyone else has considered and implemented a different solution.
